This is a area of the site being developed to help Customers understand the major differences between the managed Industrial Ethernet switches that exist in the market place. Managed switches that IT4A consider ‘standard’ carry features to aid performance optimisation and troubleshooting. They do not, however, incorporate good practice features relating to network security. These unsupported features would include using secure encrypted management protocols such as https:// and ssh instead of the less secure http:// and telnet.
